Abby attended the Pursuit of Excellence hockey academy for four years. It was at POE that she earned a scholarship to Boston University in the NCAA. While at BU, she became the program's highest scoring defenceman with 99 career points as well as a three-time Hockey East all-star. She then went on to play multiple pro seasons in Europe representing Djurgården in the SDHL in Sweden as well as Lugano in the SWHL in Switzerland. Abby played in the inaugural season of the PWHL with both Minnesota and Boston.
