John Lammers
John Lammers was drafted in the 3rd round by the Dallas Stars and played in their system for three years. At 24, John went overseas to play in some of the top leagues in Europe, including Finland, Czechia, Austria and Germany. John was lucky enough to play late into his 30s and gained a lot of experience with his coaches later in his career. This helped John’s post-playing career transition in 2024, when he started coaching with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna's U17 team as the assistant coach. John believes the knowledge and experience he has gained from playing in all situations all over the world has made him a better coach. His passion is to give back to the game by sharing his experiences with the youth of today's game. John looks forward to the challenge of growing as a coach and working with young athletes this season as the U17 head coach.
