In hockey, winning once is impressive. Twice, you're notable. Three times? You're legendary. Four times? You're simply rewriting history. That's precisely what the RINK Kelowna Female U18 Prep Hockey Team accomplished, clinching their fourth consecutive Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Championship. It’s a dynasty, plain and simple—and they've done it in a way that will resonate through female hockey for years to come.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna had a remarkable performance at the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Division I Western Championships, winning three of the six available titles. They secured victories in the U17 Prep, U18 Prep, and Female U18 Prep divisions, becoming the first organization in CSSHL history to win both Male and Female U18 Prep divisions in the same season.

Aside from winning 3 straight CSSHL Western Championships, one of RHA Kelowna's biggest accomplishments has been the volume of NCAA Div. 1 female commitments to come out of the program. From the 2023-24 season, 9 student-athletes earn themselves that honour and set the standard for the next wave of female superstars.

Getting drafted to the NHL is every kid's dream, but fortunately for 5 former RHA student-athletes, that dream became reality. In the 1st round of the NHL Draft, one RHA alum heard his name called early on June 28th, while the other four RHA alums heard their names called on June 29th anywhere from the 2nd to 6th round.

The 2024 WHL Draft was nothing short of successful for the RINK Hockey Academy and its players. 7 RHA Kelowna student-athletes were selected by 6 different WHL teams across Western Canada and the American Pacific Northwest. 

Fifteen-year-old Jack Brown has always been somewhat of a nomad. Living under the watchful eye of a father who serves with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police typically means discipline, order and responsibility. For the RINK U-15 Prep star forward, it also meant a lot to travel.

Every player within the RINK's 10 Canadian Sport School Hockey League teams has a different story, but goaltender Louis Gu's might be the most incredible yet.

Congraluations to all U15 Prep Student-Athletes and their families on being drafted in the WHL Prospects Draft and a day they will remember for a long time.
